My Space...
Really I started my first online profile on Tagged. LOL some of you guys remember tagged. They would send you messages like "you have just been tagged". But that didn't last to long so I moved to myspace. My Space was the place to be. When I started using it I was in the 9th grade and I used it for like two yrs. Myspace space was fun. You could be creative and change you profile background as much as you wanted. You could also have music playing in the background. I would hear some the latest songs by visiting my friends pages. But the most important element about myspace was the top friends. This could make or break your relationship with people. People would take the friends list so seriously because it basically said how you rated your friends. If someone deleted your off their page then that meant you were longer cool with that person. lol
Facebook...
My transition to Facebook happened when I was junior in high school. At that time it was only for college students. When my sister would come home from college during breaks I would get on her Facebook and search for friends that had already graduated. Facebook seem so exciting even though it was bland compared to myspace's elaborate design scheme. But it may have been that simplicity that attracted me to it. Facebook opened the site up to high school students. This is when I started to completely turn over to Facebook. I neglected my My space page more and more. I haven't signed in, in over a year. Facebook grew bigger and now my parents and lil 12 year cousins have pages. Its a great way to network. We have planned family reunions, I have found internships and I keep up with events that are held in atlanta. Facebook is a great tool. Now everyone is switching gears to focus on twitter but I think I will be with Facebook for a min.
T. Howard Foundation
the T Howard Foundation page is my favorite because hopefully I will receive an internship through them this summer. This organization gives out internships to minority students that are studying the field of mass communications. I found out information about the program by looking on the page. I applied and now Im in the Final Talent Pool to be chosen for a internship. They place you in big companies like Time Warner HBO and Showtime and these internships are paid. I love to look to the page to see deadlines that are coming up and to also read success stories about people who participated in the program in the past. It is good to see that they were all successful in the process.

Youtube Clip
I love this video because of its message. It tells you to never give up and always go for your dreams. This video steams from a Roc a Wear campaign called "I Will Not Lose. In these videos the people were asked about their trials and tribulations in life and how they were able to over come them. This campaign inspired me to create video interviews for the upcoming Black history events being sponsored by SAC. MY campaign is called " My Black Is" Its basically the same format as this video. I asked people to describe to me what their black is, which is basically asking them what are their passions. What describes them as a person. As a beginner filmmaker I always love looking at things that inspire me and try to recreate them in my own way. I cant wait to release the videos. And I encourage everyone to go check out the rest of the Roc A Wear "I will not Lose" Videos!
