Final Project!

Groupons is a website that features business in certain area. Business offers major discounts to its customers. How it works is that members are emailed a deal of day. Members are then allowed to sign up for the deal of the day. If enough people sign up for the deal of the day then everyone is offered the discount. It the sign up does not reach a certain amount then no body gets the deal. Groupons is great for business because it ensures business that they will make a certain amount of money off of deals. its also great for customers because thy are able to save a lot of money. Its like a big group discount. "The article Groupon: Social networking expands to site offering coupons" stated how Groupon Use social networking but it combines the idea of using coupons to save money. Groupon reaches over 65 cities in the U.S. and over 80 in Europ. Groupon is becoming so big that even bigger media sites like Facebook are trying emulate it concept. Facebook has started the same deal saver concept for local businesses. These site are already spreading over to Europe an Canada. But not only Facebook ripping off this idea There sis that there are a 1,000 clones that imitate the Groupon Website. There are also similar site found in Latin America. This causes many rivals that Groupon will have to face.

As far as promoting, Groupons use all mediums of social medium. They have a blog site called The Serious Blog Of Groupon,where member can keep up with the news on Groupons, contest, and etc. They have a Twitter page for members to post comments on the founders page. And they also have a facebook groupon account

Groupon has the possiblity to completely change the way we shop. Now we can buy products online a with big discount with out having to shop around. Instead of waiting for coupons to come through the mail you can have them right there at your finger tips.
